Pastors Michael & Latrina Smith
Pastors Michael and Latrina Smith are lifelong natives of the Frederick, Maryland area and serve as the leaders of Overcomers Fellowship Ministries—a growing, thriving, multi-racial, non-denominational, Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church in Frederick.
Both were raised in the church, but in their early twenties, they strayed and found themselves in deep spiritual darkness. In 2006, God powerfully led them back to His Son, Jesus Christ. While they had always known about Jesus, they began a new journey—pursuing a relationship rather than religion. They both felt in their hearts that there was more to Jesus than traditional religious practices could show.
They came to believe that God intended more for His people than simply reading, singing, and outward expressions of worship. They longed to see the same biblical results they read about in Scripture—miracles, transformation, and the tangible presence of God. For them, being a true witness for Jesus means living in such a way that His favor, power, and glory are manifest in their lives.
The vision God placed in their hearts is to teach His people, through the uncompromising truth of His Word, that we overcome by faith in the victory given to us through Jesus Christ. They believe that as believers grow in understanding and apply God's Word, their life experiences will begin to align with His promises. When this happens, the Kingdom of Heaven will be revealed to non-believers—and God's Kingdom will expand rapidly.
